Wow I had a great day! I went out to Liberty Lake, and took the hike just beyond the county park. It was a cool day, just perfect weather for a hike!
Liberty Lake WA is situated 20 minutes East of Spokane WA, and 20 minutes West of Couer D Alene Idaho.
Here are some pictures I took along the way!
The first 45 minutes of this hike is very "easy" with great trails.
There are streams all along this hike. It's very refreshing to hear them as you walk along!
The woods are thick and lush with lots of undergrowth.
There are many exotic looking plants, wildflowers, butterflies and kodak moments on the trail!
The county park has a wonderful campground, and acres of natural beauty for picnics, barbeque's, and a huge public beach! Here are some shots of the county park/beach:

The second half of the hike is difficult. It has an amazing view once you get to the top!

Go to the Liberty Lake County Park on the far side of the lake. GREAT PARK! There is a small fee to get in. ( a few bucks) They will direct you, but you go straight as dar as you can and park where the campground is. YES the trailhead is easy to spot. Plan on 40 minutes to get to the Cedar Grove. After that, if you are a real hiker, continue to the top!
