To sum it up, I am a lifelong resident of Spokane and I truly believe in the quality of life here.

I love Spokane (number one) simply because it is HOME SWEET HOME!

Spokane is not too big, not too small, has lower than average cost of living, lower unemployment, 4 great seasons to enjoy, great outdoor activities, a thriving downtown, spectacular river, arts, music, culture, shopping, and my personal favorite is the dozens of nearby lakes.

Spokane also has a more stable housing market than many other places.

Spokane is a great place for DAY TRIPS!

There are so many cool places to take an incredible day trip from Spokane. Way too many to list, but here are a few of my favorites.

• Just 35 minutes to the world famous Couer d'Alene Idaho- a spectacular resort town very well known for its pristine lake and mountains, with a quaint downtown for shopping- right on the lake!

• Sandoint Idaho: Winter, Spring Summer or Fall- Sandpoint is a gorgous mountain city with an incredible lake for summer fun, and great winter skiing! Check out www.sandpoint.com  you will be amazed!

#9.Spokane Wa. is home to two of the most successful athletic events in the WORLD!

1. BLOOMSDAY RUN !

• This is the 34th annual bloomsday run!
• in 2009 there were over 50,000 registrants!

2. HOOPFEST!

• Hoopfest is the biggest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament on the planet. That means over 6,400 teams, 3,000 volunteers, 200,000 players and fans, 400 courts spanning 40 downtown city blocks, and that's just on day one! Beyond basketball, though, Hoopfest is an outdoor festival chock full of concerts, shopping, food, interactive entertainment, and every year brings some thing new.

There is no place like SPOKANE WA!

We live in Staycation Paradise here in Spokane Wa. With over 70 lakes within a short distance, you can snap your fingers and be relaxing in Pacific Northwest rustic wooded small lakes, or the grand and awesome larger lakes that make this area near famous.

Just this weekend, we jotted over to Couer d Alene lake for a staycation and all though I have seen this lake my entire life, it is still a jaw dropping experience.

The stunning mountain lake, the quant city, and great shopping makes me glad I love nearby.

Another favorite is a trip to Sandpoint Idaho to the majestic Lake Pend Orielle. You have to see it to believe it!

In general I am bragging about the livability of the Spokane Wa. area. I highly recommend researching the area if you are considering relocating. As a lifelong resident, I can honestly say I love living here. Our real estate market has proven to be quite stable when compared to many other parts of the country. We have 4 very distinct seasons, and as far as I am concerned, there is no place like Spokane!
